The City of Covington would like to make citizens and business-aware that due to the recent winter storm our refuse collection in your area may be delayed. We ask for your patience as we deal with the current winter weather conditions. The City of Covington has ended the Local Emergency Declaration, however, is still working storm clean up clearing side roads and other impacted areas which has impacted the refuse collection. If you see any trouble spots throughout the City please contact Public Works. With Code Section: 40-9.: We would like to ask businesses to have areas around dumpsters and sidewalks cleared of snow and residents to be considerate of our refuse staff when placing their refuse at its collection area and remove or cause to be removed the snow from their sidewalks. We appreciate everyone working together to help clean up from this past weekend’s winter storm.

If you have any questions please contact the Covington Public Works Department at (540) 965-6321 or (540) 965-6322, or the City Manager’s Office at (540) 965-6300.
