The City of Covington would like to make citizens and businesses aware that City Officials and the Public Works Department have been in contact with contractors and have met on-site to develop an emergency action plan. Crews will begin the emergency repairs tomorrow January 4, 2022.

The 500 block of West Chestnut Street will continue to be BLOCKED UNTIL EMERGENCY REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE. This is due to a sinkhole that developed on the evening of January 1st. The City will continue updating as repairs are being made, and we thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to address the issue.
