The Covington Division of Police is asking for your help. Early on the morning of August 5th at approximately 12:20 AM, a house fire was reported to our emergency dispatch center. The house, located on South Ashland Avenue, was fully engulfed by the time First Responders arrived. The home, a vacant structure, was a total loss. An adjacent structure also caught fire and the resident’s vehicle was also damaged. An Officer was able to safely evacuate the resident of that home, but he sustained minor injuries in the process.

The cause of the fire is still currently undetermined. We would like to ask the public or anyone with information regarding this event to come forward and share what you know. Please call our non-emergency number, 540-965-6333, message us via Facebook, or you can contact Detective Baker at 540-965-6339.

All calls and messages can remain anonymous.
