The City of Covington would like to make citizens aware as we work to brace for the weather today in an effort to be proactive the City Manager; Krystal Onaitis has declared a local state of emergency. The Governor has already declared a State of Emergency and there are National Guard troops deployed in VDEM’s Region 6 which covers the surrounding areas. This will also help with potential storm response needed and costs reimbursements from impact that may occur.
