The City of Covington would like to make our citizens and downtown business owners aware that the 300 & 400 blocks of Main Street will be blocked off on Saturday May 4, 2024. The street will be blocked off and impassible beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday May 4, 2024. This will be in preparation for the Alleghany High School’s Prom Grand March. The street closure will take place from the Good News Church on Main to the 410 on Main (formerly Gordmans) parking lot. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but please make arrangements, and have your cars removed by 6:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
