The City of Covington would like to make our citizens and downtown business owners aware that Main Street and parts of the surrounding streets will be blocked off on Friday, May 3, 2024. The street will be blocked off and impassible beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3^rd. This will be in preparation for the Olde Town Covington Event – “Cinco De Mayo Fiesta” that will be taking place that afternoon. The street closure will take place from the former Wells Fargo Building on Main to the 410 on Main (formerly Gordmans) parking lot. A portion of Court will also be closed from the intersection of Court and Main to the first entrance to the Mid-City Mall parking lot, the entrance/exit will still be passable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but please make arrangements, and have your cars removed by 12:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.
