Notice is hereby given that the Council for the City of Covington, Virginia will conduct a Public Hearing pursuant to Sections 15.2-1427 (D), 15.2-2006, and 15.2-1800 of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended) on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. to consider an intent to vacate the right-of-way and disposition of public property with regards to a Boundary Adjustment Survey between Wright Way Motors located at 820 South Lexington Avenue, Covington, Virginia and Dewey’s Automotive, LLC.  located at 609 West Chestnut Street, Covington, Virginia. 

Pursuant to Section 15.2-1800 of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended) Council will then convey the land upon which the right-of-way was located to the interested parties.

Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to the proposed ordinance may appear before, and be heard by the City Council during the Public Hearing in the City Council Chambers, Covington City Hall, on the above stated date and time.
