Mere words do not seem adequate following a tragedy such as the one the city of Covington and her residents experienced on Monday, March 14th, 2022. In the blink of an eye, all of our perspectives have been forced to change and, in the wake of those heartbreaking moments, the lives of so many of those that we as a council hold dear have been changed forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of Officer Caleb Ogilvie and Randy Paxton; our law enforcement, emergency medical services and fire service community; the staff of Covington Farm & Fuel, and those who were fortunate enough to call these two precious men their friend. Covington City Council prays the love shown to these families and first responders from all corners of our Commonwealth and beyond will give them some measure of comfort as they process their grief in the days, weeks and months to come.
