The City of Covington would like to announce that effective Monday, March 14, 2022 Tim Green will assume the position of Water Treatment Plant Supervisor. Tim has been with the City for 36 years. Tim has been raised in the Alleghany Highlands and graduated from Covington high school in June of 1977. He served in the US Army beginning in 1977 and honorably discharged in 1983. Then served with the Army Reserves for an additional two years. Tim and his wife have 4 grown children and 9 grandchildren, and he resides in the Dry Run area of the City. Tim is a CLASS 1 Operator and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations in our Water Treatment Plant for Public Works.
