The Division of Police is the primary law enforcement agency for the City of Covington and answers on average 4,400 calls for service annually. The Division has eighteen (18) full-time and two (2) part-time sworn police officers that consist of four (4) patrol shifts and investigations.
Mission Statement
The Covington Division of Police shall effect our purpose in a fair and unbiased manner as we serve and protect all citizens while enforcing the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the ordinances of the City of Covington.
