A Time to Chill and Relax

This Saturday, September 4th will be “A Time to Chill and Relax” with the Covington Parks and Recreation Department as they wrap up their summer concert series. It all takes place at the River Rock Amphitheatre starting at 3:30. To get the dancing started will be dancers from Garlynda’s Fancy Feet. This group of young ladies put in many hours practicing and performing around the area at events and we are pleased to have them be a part of our summer wrap-up. At approximately 4:30 One Take from Lynchburg will perform everything from classic rock, country to Motown. They promise to have you dancing before they leave the stage at 7:30. Returning to the River Rock Amphitheatre at 8:00 pm is Nashville Recording Artist RAY SCOTT. Ray released his debut album in 2005 and has released five more since then and gained attention all over the world. Ray will certainly provide you with a night of good music with his baritone voice and his hard-core country attitude. He released his latest EP last year Titled “Nowhere Near Done” and we certainly hope he is not done entertaining the crowds. As you will hear in some of his songs the message may make you want to cry, dance, or push the pedal to the metal if you happen to be driving when you hear his songs. He is a very honest and elite songwriter and it shows in the songs he writes about his life rather good or bad. He says “being honest is the way you draw people to you.” So we hope this afternoon of great entertainment draws you to join us at the River Rock Amphitheatre located at the Jackson River Sports Complex. The event is free to the public and food will be available for purchase by JKK Concessions.
