Join us for a day of activities downtown, Saturday, December 3rd, as we build the magic of the season in anticipation of the 2022 Covington City Christmas Parade: Christmas traditions.

Story Time with one of Santa’s Elves
Plan to see us at the Alleghany Highlands Regional Library for Christmas-themed stories and a simple holiday make-and-take craft with one of Santa’s elves.

Polar Express at R/C Covington 3 Theater
Join us for a FREE viewing of the Polar Express and enjoy a FREE small popcorn and FREE small drink. (Capacity limited to 83, first come first serve.)

Christmas Cookie Decorating
Meet us at Patsy’s Dance Studio as the employees of People’s Bank assist you in decorating a Christmas cookie.

3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Face Painting
Come down to Hot Watts Salon on Main Street and have your face painted, sponsored by Highlands Community Bank!

Carolers on Main
Take in the decorations of the downtown area as you listen to our friends and neighbors sing songs of the season.

Post-Parade Party with Santa!

Don’t forget to stop by the Discovery Center, at 227 N. Maple Ave. after the parade. There you can take your own photo with Santa, a candy cane treat from Santa and the announcement of our parade winners and prizes will be given out at that time. Also, feel free to explore the Discovery Center!
