The City of Covington is requesting a sealed bid for Labor and Equipment to assist the City
Workforce with a 210 LF sidewalk project on Thacker Avenue, Covington, VA. Please provide a bid
based on the following contractor services.

210 LF Concrete Sidewalk Thacker Avenue Services:
• Provide Labor, Equipment and Supervision to complete the scope of work as described below for
the Thacker Avenue Sidewalk Project.
• Excavation to prepare and place suitable fill material along slope.
• Haul stone for fill and subgrade.
• Form place and finish concrete for sidewalk.
• Install handrails.
• Final grading on slope next to sidewalk.

Note: The City of Covington will purchase all material needed for sidewalk project.
• The City will provide traffic control.
• All work to be completed during normal business hours of 7:00 am-3:30 pm Monday thru
Friday.

It is the desire of the City to have this sidewalk project completed by mid-late October as we
intend to pave Thacker at completion of sidewalk project.
